Isabel Allende’s, “Portrait in Sepia,” is an absolutely wonderful sequel to her, “Daughter of Fortune.”
Like its predecessor, it is over the top with fantastic characters, the writing is sublime, and I have learned more about the history of Chile and San Francisco than I ever imagined possible.

Ms. Allende is a major talent.
